These case studies are examples of Activity Management Planscomplete activity management plans (AMPs) which take the business case approach, with useful supporting materials. These materials are not to be used as templates for other plans. Rather, the aim is to provide guidance on how certain aspects of a plan can inform the development of other plans.

A review of the CODC 2015/16 AMP Executive Summary by the Transport Agency against the business case approach provides insight into what a Strategic Case section of an AMP should focus on. This is a good reminder of the importance of the Point of Entry discussion between the Transport Agency and road controlling authorities to work out what they need to do to embed the principals of the business case approach in the AMP, to right size effort and identify the needed resources.
